The E + B Trip: Tioman!

For some reason, the word 'emo', pronounced iimo, was the favorite word during the trip. It means emotional, or filled with a certain type of inexplicable sorrow which is shared with like-minded people. It can be coined with other words to form phrases for eg 'emo-siao', 'emo-songs', 'emo-ing' and so on. But of course, Tioman is a nice place, not just for emo-ing. I like the golden phrase of the trip: Laugh with your frens when they are laughing, mourn with your frens when they are mourning and of course, emo with your frens when they are emo-ing. GOLD. Enjoy the pics :)

A perfect little no-one walking along the beach. The serenity of the sea, the loneliness and the grandeur of nature fused together in a single picture. Now tell me why am i not emo.

Again, a picture of the beach in the hot warm sun. For those who dont know, i'm now as red as a lobster already.

the 5 of us, at the jeti with the tioman mountains behind. Went out to snorkel quite a lot.

Our dear Cutie Tan with her evening poses just before the sunset. The sea is therapeutic, melancholic and of course, emo.

To demonstrate the pinnacle of emo-ing, we have our dear Jimmy here on his boat trip, face half filled with sorrow and joy, emo-ing away towards the sea.

WHAT A TRIP!!!! :)

My Che Che : )

if there's someone i love the most. It's her. We used to quarrel a lot. She used to get angry with me over small little things like lending me the paper to trace out some alphabets. We used to fight over even a bag. We used to tease each other about our potential gf/bf. Actually more like i getting teased most of the time. Those good ol' days.

We left each other when i was only like 15? I cried that day... and i cried some more when she left to aussie. Since then we didnt really spend long time together... at most 1 month? So here is a post dedicated to her and i think she influenced my life A LOT. And i love her :)

Che Che!! i really miss you.. seriously.. u should come back quick.. i havent seen you for more than a year.. the wine and beer's waiting for you :)

Signs

I guess sometimes little things excite people when they are in foreign land. Was looking through the memories that i've collected over the past one month and i noticed what i took in the first few days. i mean, it's all over the world but it's always different. i've seen diff ones in china, in aussie and of course, in malaysia. BUT, here they are: the little humans we all know too well, from a land far far away call Deutschland.

You kinda noticed that Germany has very cute human signs. Usually in Singapore or in Malaysia, it's just a human standing there either in running positions or walking ones. But there's some kinda 'hip hop' feeling about the humans in Germany... well you can see it rite?

And if you go down to Ludwigsburg which is not far from where i live there, you get cuter ones like these...

I'm bored lar basically.

Shit Happens

Sometimes when things are tough, there really isnt any other way to settle it. Guitar, music, friends, busyness, stone, road trips, beers, wine... It's just Him and that's it. He promised us to be there for us every single day and sometimes we just choose to ignore him and find our own solutions.

When we were young and well, notorious maybe, fairy tales come true in our hearts. Perhaps i've grown up now and when you are left alone sometimes, the eyes that are washed by tears see clearer. Things are not like fairy tales, and i suppose it's part of growing up: to realise that, and to go through that.

Some people just need a tight slap across the face before they learn that something is wrong. I have to learn it after getting one hard punch. Good thing is, it's not fatal. Bad thing is, it hurts. And i want more than anything to get it over and done with.

Had a good night sleep last night. Like FINALLY. Thank God.

Wild Hogs

When u have nothing better to do on a 6 hour + another 8 hour long plane ride, u watch funny movies which u dont usually watch in the theatres because they aint worth ur money. so i watched this comedy. Actually i wanted to watch it in the cinema but didnt have the chance so this was a great chance as they showed it on emirates. Anw, the show's about mid life crisis and how these 4 people went on a biking trip to discover themselves. not too bad.. not too good either... 6/10

Singapore

Deutschland

Last day in my host bro's room.. sigh.. time really flies. didnt have the chance to send michelle and co. off at the hauptbahnhof yesterday but heard that she cried until swee foo had to dry his shoulders. well. Sent Charmaine off today and she looked kinda sad too.. guess it's just the great time that we had here, and the great fun that we had. The music, the beer, the schnapps, the beer garden, the schlossplatz, the titisee, the bodensee, the freiburg, the jia jie's house, the joyce's house... too many things with too little space.

i miss the weather. i miss the castles. i miss the food. and above all, i miss the people and the companionship. think that i really never wasted any time here doing nothing. It's such a great experience and i totally love it. Ein bisschen traurig.

perhaps Germany was a point of realisation as well, and i think that a lot of time in my quiet little room, things seems to be clearer. the heat has be blamed in singapore.. WAHAHAHA.. and i've already decided where to go when i come next year - Karlsruhe.

enough of mushy mushy stuff. Leaving in 24 hours. arriving in another 24 hours. How langweilig. Guter Nacht Leute, und träumt was schönes.

Please Pray

Life is short. My grandma was diagnosed for cancer a few weeks ago. Went for an operation and now she just made it through. Thank God.

Heard from my dad that she already accepted Christ in her heart and she wasnt hesitant when asked to go for operation. Thanks for all those who've been praying.

Heidelberg

okay pple.. i know that it's been short of updates in germany.. haha.. so now here's some pics. i couldnt get the nicer pics becoz i've saved it into my host son's computer and now i'm left with the pathetic amount of pictures i have in my camera.. nevertheless, they are from heidelberg, which i think is over-rated for being the chioest town in Badenwurtermberg. Or maybe it's just the weather.

This is the most significant view of Heidelberg - die alte Brücke, or the old bridge.

This is the gate from the bridge :)

We also went up to one of the old castles and took some nice pictures. But at this stage, everything is getting a bit boring - castles castles castles and more castles... haha.. but still chio.

The view from the castle across Heidelberg.

And my fav picture of the day - a wall in the castle with windows and the blue sky behind. :)

Watched ocean's 12 on a plane: and u noe they say that you only watch the shows you dont wanna watch on the plane. But now i'm watching ocean's 13. Not bad, and i quite like it. In U2 Jacket, my fren's aviator specs and first time in my life: my ponytail. WAHAHAHAHA..

Why Stuttgart

A lot of ppl ask me why i chose Stuttgart as immersion and not Darmstadt, since doing immersion with Stuttgart will mean that i'm bonded to the university in the Baden Wurtemburg state when i do exchange. But oh well, this is why i want to be here, not just the musuem, but the fact that i'm standing on places where 200 years ago, a species call homo sapien drove their first car.

Yes that's the brand name that everyone knows around the world. Do you know that it comes from the name of the daughter of a enthusiastic 'gentlemen driver' who drives his own car, since at that time, ppl who have cars usually hires chaffeur.

And i must tell you, this is the most high tech museum i've ever visited in my entire life. everyone in the musuem is given a small audio device, where you can listen to the guide and explanation through the headphone wherever you roam, eliminating the need of tour guides.

A very fierce Merc. It's a concept car, and this one here, i have no idea if it will come out in the market.

My aboslute fav Merc. Yes i'm not a Merc fan but this one is breathtaking - the McLaren SLR.

Some random shots of old cars in the museum. It's really too much things to see, too little time.

So in the end, i have to go back early. But i did manage to visit their showroom and guess wad.. A new C class Merc costs about 40,000 Euro. That's about 80,000 Sing dollar which cant even get you a Camry i think. LOL.

Die Blumen aus Deutschland :)

The flowers from Germany, just in case you have problem understanding the title. enjoy :)

I just love how their colour is so saturated in the bright sun. Something different from Singapore.. haha..
