Postcard pics

Here are some pictures which, in my humble opinion, looks like post card pictures... i took them with my cam.. all of them, and i just love them a lot.

I secretly coped a picture of this kid playing frisbee on the beach in Rugen. Artistic enough.

That's the castle square or Schloßplatz in Stuttgart. Yesterday's weather was superb and this is one of the view from a nearby shelter.

The harbour view from Hamburg. We were there for one night before setting off to Rugen. A very chio city really, more than Stuttgart i think :)

The flower market in the morning near the Hamburg main station. Very artistic i think.

We set off on a choo-choo train from Binz in Rugen to arrive in Gohren in Rugen and this is one of the nicest picture there. Nothing else. LOL.

And finally, this is my favourite picture in my whole collection. It is not drawn, and not taken off a postcard and they are swans, swimming in the cold north sea. They came up for a while and we fed them with bread. This is the nicest picture taken i believe. :)

Manchmal...

ich glaube, ich bin sehr dumm. Ja das ist wahr, weil ich nichts weiß. Have you felt like a barrier sometimes? if you do, and you do not know it until vielleicht ein halbes Jahr später, you'd probably understand what i mean.

It's just a normal ranting for me to express some discontentment over the blog becoz i just felt like Scheiße. i find it extremely hard sometimes? to balance a lot of things... and here is a song which aptly describes my feelings:

Under the Bridge

Sometimes I feel Like I dont have a partner
Sometimes I feel Like my only friend
Is the city I live in The city of angel
Lonely as I am
Together we cry

I drive on her streets
cause shes my companion
I walk through her hills
cause she knows who I am
She sees my good deeds
And she kisses me windy
I never worry
Now that is a lie

I dont ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way

Its hard to believe
That theres nobody out there
Its hard to believe
That I'm all alone
At least I have her love
The city she loves me
Lonely as I am Together we cry

I dont ever want to feel
Like I did that day
Take me to the place I love
Take me all the way

Under the bridge downtown
Is where I drew some blood
Under the bridge downtown
I could not get enough
Under the bridge downtown
Forgot about my love
Under the bridge downtown
I gave my life away

P/S: of course it does not represent my feelings literally. it just describes most of it. And those who dont bother to translate, dont bother to read the post :)

On a happier note, i met Kim Jong Il on Rügen. LOL.

I was at Rügen...

Ok here is an explanation of my disappearance which caused a lot of commotion, some which i regret... i have been to Rügen, an island north of Germany. In case you havent notice, i live in Stuttgart which is like south of Germany and Rügen is the red dot on the Germany map.. Becos it's very northern, it is frigging cold... but we do have some nice weather on the second day that i'm there and here are some photos..
The Map of Germany with Stuttgart down south nearly at the border. We travelled 10 hours to get to Rügen...

The view of the pier in Binz, a place in Rügen near the eastern sea.

Some random picture of the beach - that's why i went to Rügen. i love beaches.

That's me again with the pier.
Sorry i'm out of time and i need to go now.. tata ppl.. til next time i'll upload some other nice photos.

Biking trip

Yesterday i had i think one of the most wonderful day in my life. School started off at 800 am and we had kinda dry lessons whole day long. But it's good.. as i'm learning new things and it's good for German 3 when i go back.. HAA HAA...

anw, the day really began at 630 pm local time. we (me, Mr Kicherer and our neighbour Mr Gerald) went out on a biking trip which was about 2 hours long. it's not a trip through towns but a trip through the countryside from my area of residence (Kornwestheim) to the river Neckar before riding along the Neckar to a Bier Garten and having dinner there with them.

I really couldnt and didnt imagine the beauty of the countryside with the wineyards and the river by the side with a little mist and lotsa greeneries beside me. It's like riding in air con temperature in a picture. i think that's the best way to describe it: an oil painting on canvas which we always see in some magazine or something.

Unfortunately i couldnt take any picture on the way because we were in a hurry, sort of. The sky was getting darker as we arrived at about 8 sth at the Bier Garten. It was a great journey and even though it hurts (cycling for 2 hours can be costly, which is why i need to get cycling pants end of June), i'll take it up anytime to do it again. Absolutely gorgeous.

That's us at the Bier Garten as you can see from the sign. Time was about 900 pm local time. Not dark huh.

The Bier Garten at 830 pm. It was cosy with lotsa ppl drinking and just talking cock. Great place to socialise.

That's us with Mr Gerald on the left and Mr Kicherer (my host parent) on the right with the Hefe Hell beer: a type of murky beer which is not too bitter.

Us again on the way to the Marbach station. We cycled from Kornwestheim all the way to Marbach before taking the S Bahn back from there. Reached home at about 1000 pm?

Our bikes on the train station waiting for the train to arrive : )

This is the night view of the historical town of Marbach. Went there to take some pictures and they gave me a tour around the town.

That's them in front of me. It's so bright and unclear because i was using night vision, but it's really kinda dark already at that time : )

The trip is simply amazing. i cant describe everything here but somethings just cannot be explained. It has to be experienced. Going to Ruegen tomorrow so i dont think i'd be blogging anytime soon. Bis Dienstag Leute. Tschus.

More posts!!!!

Ok here are just some random shots i post here in no chronological order and i shall explain them to you as i go along.. yes i stupidly stumble across the option of changing the keyboard to english keyboard and now everything is in order and i can type with lightning speed again.. enjoy!!

Stuttgart is not only known for their cars and of course beer, but also their wine. As you can see, this is one of the wineyards on the slope of a mountain.

That's me atop the TV tower that i posted yesterday. without my cap. My hair's flowing-ly long so i usually wears a cap in town. good thing coz one doesnt sweat much in this kinda humidity. (50%)

Went to Ludwigsburg yesterday with my host family. Couldnt go in but the palace is built in 1800s and it's one word: chio.

Germany has a lot of Bier Garten and i'm sure u can understand that quite well. they just sit around and talk cock. Btw, that's about 8 o clock at nite.
That's the Mercedes Benz Museum. Going there in 2 weeks time and i just passed it during the bus tour arranged for us. cant wait to go there.

As i mentioned just now, Stuttgart is famous for their wine. Here u can see again the wineyards on another site in Stuttgart.

Sorry for being inorganised but this is the garden in the Ludwigsburg palace.

Okie, hope that you all enjoyed it... it's a pain when you dont have internet access. haa haa.

Deutschland is sehr schön!!!

Ok leute... yes i know that it's been a long time and ppl are worried about whether i'm safe here or wad... but yes here's a post to keep you all updated... not the longest of all post considering that i've came here for 3 days... actually i have a lot of pics to put but the keyboard is killing me and fyi, they swapped 'y' with 'z' and i have to press shift sth when i want to use apostrophe... it's worse than i thought it is... it's fit to type german, not english...

anyway, here's some pics of me in Frankfurt as well as (mostly) in Stuttgart...

That's me in the main train station just a bit away from Frankfurt Airport. or Fraport.

That's the train that i took to Stuttgart from the train station.. it's cool not just becoz it's ICE but it travels at 200kmh? the Inter-City-Express

And as some of you would know, Stuttgart won the Bundesliga this year and i was there at the train station when they won. Yes they happily took a pic with me.. really nice ppl i must say and u can see the 'you'll never walk alone' scarf at the back.. VFB rox!!!

One of the sightseeing places in Stuttgart - the Fernsehturm, or TV tower.. it's atop a hill with a fantastic view of everything... and the weather was good that day!!

The host family is more than nice!!! they even brought me to the grandfather's bdae.. and ate BBQ... That's the granddad with me and the small 10 yr old kid at the side

And here's the family.. a very nice bunch of ppl who just sits down and talk cock on a Saturday aftnoon... really great knowing them!!!

I still have lotsa pics and i'll show it when i get home so til next time then!!!

28 Weeks Later

Went to watch this show because i dont think that there are any shows worth watching these few days and i'm done rotting in my little room watching old shows. Didnt expect it to be a good show: i didnt even watch 28 days later. But gotta say, it's quite tense throughout with all the music and stuff... and London seems really empty. I dunno how they managed to get London to be so empty and film the show. Overall, it's an okay show and someone, if you know, pls explain how come all the infected people like to run. LOL. 7/10

Transformers: Armada

As all of you out there will probably know, there's an upcoming Transformers Movie in July. And as a self-respecting kid growing up in the 1990s, transformers is GOLD to me. So i've decided to be a loyal fan and check out what are the machines coming out for the movie and i ended up watching the Armada series. It's quite interesting because Transformers franchise was created by Japanese, bought over by Marvel and then bought back by Japanese again to create the Armada series. So the Armada looks more like anime and it really rawks. Can't wait to see Starscream on screen.

Pulp Fiction

Once again, from the age of the film (1994) you can tell that i'm more than bored and i just couldnt find any other film around to watch. So i ended up watching this classic Tarantino show. His show is somewhat very artistic - Kill Bill, Sin City etc. i have yet to watch Sin City but i heard that it's good... and i never got the chance to get ahold of the disc. Back to topic, Pulp Fiction is about these few characters - Samuel L.J, John Travolta, Uma Therman and Bruce Willis with their intricate chain of events that happened. It's kinda cool becoz Tarantino was playing around with time frame and when the movie ends, then everything became clear what happened and how it happened. Not bad a film and i'll give it a 8.5/10.

Indian version of MJ's Thriller

This is a classic piece done by bollywood instead of hollywood. Pay attention to the lyrics. Rawks. XD XD

Scary Movie 4

Apparently, i have more than enough time to entertain this movie. Like all scary movies, they take their cue from all over the places including war of the worlds, Ju-On, the village and etc. i think it's just crap all cramped up together to make a crappy film. I guess this is really not the way to make a comedy. 4/10.

Saving Private Ryan

I'm not exactly a fan of war movies but under the influence of my good friend YK i had to watch this one. Yes from the fact that i'm watching it now since after the show went off screen for dunno how many years, you can infer that i'm laggy when it comes to war movies. Nonetheless, i want to give credits to this one because i think it hit the right spots for war: nobody likes war and there are no winners in wars. It's touching at the end and i think it really does deserve what YK said about it: must watch. 9/10.

It's not about Practicality

It's about my stuff can. Frankly, that's why boys go after crazy cars and girls go after a small little bag that cost more than a diamond.

The Bugatti Veyron: top speed: 407 km/h, 0-100 km/h: 2.5 secs, *200-300 km/h: 9 secs!*, Quad turbo-charged W-16 engine with 1000bhp... When you have the money to buy this car, it's no longer about racing to the next traffic light in Singapore or blazing down the highway in Malaysia. It's not even about going to Sepang and have a ride in the circuit. It's about my car can. i dont care whether i need to drive at that speed or not.

The GeForce 8800 Ultra: 681 million transistors, 786 MB of graphics memory, SLI capable, Shader model 4.0... It's not about playing com games at 2560 x 1600 with everything set to ultra high and be happy about it. It's about my com can play it at 2560 x 1600 and be happy about it.

BUT, i dont have a GeForce 8800 Ultra. Nor do i have a Bugatti Veyron. So everything will have to stay in the mind and kept in the mind. Until i have the financial power. Sigh.

Perhaps it's just the insatiable human wants that drives people insane between distinguishing what is our need and what is our want. So it ends up being my stuff can, and not my stuff need to.

Heroes

The latest sensation in hollywood drama. Yes i know that prison break is beginning to stink as it drags on and on but on the other hand, heroes is getting more and more interesting. I've managed to finish watching episode 1-19 in just a matter of one night (yes it can be done) and i find myself watching a very long episode of X men 4, maybe? Dont get me wrong. It's not bad. In fact, it's not bad at all. Cant wait for the season finale and how things are going to turn out and it has gone up to replace Prison Break as my current favourites.

Excited

about going to Germany of course. I've received mail from the host family over there and i'd be staying with an architect couple who has 2 kids. Which translates to: their house should be quite nice since they'd be the ones designing it themselves. WAHAHA!!

alrite. anyways, they have their own website and i'm really more than excited!! I just wrote a notice to them about when to meet up and they replied a super long mail in German. AND, they translate that long letter into english in case i dont understand. Guess they must be kinda excited as well.

It's their first Asian guest in the house and they had a British exchange student at their house 2 years ago. Like i said in one of the previous post, they live in Kornwestheim and it's about 12 minutes from Stuttgart by train.

Alrite, i shall now go and dream about Stuttgart. Tomorrow i'd be going back to msia, which means i wont be blogging for another 3 days becoz i'm not going to subject myself to horendous modem connection. It's not worth the time.

hope to see some frens in germany.. i have 2 seniors there doing exchange...

World of Warcraft

While a lot of people have been travelling around the globe during this holiday period, (i myself included) i have been venturing into the heartland of Azeroth, at a place call Darnassus, some 3 years after it has been built and i must say, it's awesome. Too bad the school's connection only allow people with nightlife to play, which means i wont be able to play it during term time, and it costs money. AND, my computer cannot support it. it's time to change one. Sigh. I hate to change computer coz it's so expensive i cant change it myself. Playing on my darling's com produces stunning effects and it's like a huge gigantic final fantasy world to play around and travel. Uber cool. 9.75/10. No wonder Blizzard owns.

Spiderman 3

Fantastic film, i must say. It came out on May 1st, and i really couldnt get a single double slot seat side by side on the internet booking system on 30th April, from the 130pm show all the way until the 950pm's. So i have to watch it on 2nd May. Yes it is the blockbuster of the year, although i'm still waiting for Pirates to beat it when it comes out. It's about the dark side of Spiderman and how revenge and hatred can overcome one's senses sometimes to do something really nasty. Favourite character: the new goblin. Go and watch. It's a 9.5/10 show.

My new carrier

Yes i'm here to document something sweet which my darling did: she bought me a new Crumpler. Not like i had any Crumplers before, but this one is really HUGE for a Crumpler. It's for my Germany trip and i'm suppose to use this rather than the supposedly 'ugly-looking' quiksilver.

It's gorgeous red and i think it really looks good :)

The interior, decorated with massive velcros and yellow lace

The back with the handle. It is just so sweet of my darling to do that : )

It's really a nice bag with the 'rainbow' pattern at the cover.

The front view of me with the bag at the bag.

Massive red and it almost drowns me. Which means it can really stack a lot of things inside : )

Freedom

is the right of all sentient being. FINALLY, the exams are over!! went out to celebrate with my darling at bugis, where we shopped around and ate at a western restaurant. I'll let the pictures do the talking:

That's the both of us : )

This is the restaurant that we went. It's called Phin's steakhouse and is opposite parco along the street where there's lotsa eateries.

That's my darling's sirloin lady's cut. the 'lady's cut' is apparently quite a sumptuos amount

And look at mine. It's a humongous 230g ribeye australian steak. i still reek of beef when i woke up in the morning. Great start to the holidays people : )
