Malaysia National Day
Yeah man!! M'sia rox... she's 46 years old this year... well.. just a bit older than Singapore... and it's quite a pity i cant celebrate it in M'sia itself.. haii... but we have quite a memorable night last night at the hostel... at around 11.45 pm the malaysian basically flooded the TV room to watch the count down... *so patriotic*.. and of course... the 'Merdeka' shouts.... the hostel's like gonna collapse after that... haha.. lol..

Anyways, it's such a coincidence that all three countries-- M'sia, S'pore, and Indon all fall on the month August... so i guess August is our National month... S'pore first, then Indon and lastly the M'sians... and August's over.... i think September will pass at a faster pace... since most of the time i'll be having exams.. and a 'HOLIDAY' week... @_@

So today's just another normal day... study study study....... eat meals...... study study study.... national day.... study study study.... take baths... study study study... i think u get the point....

Teacher's Day Rox!!
yeah... yesterday was basically a great day for me!! the whole Teacher's day started with the lower sec concert... just a few words for the MCs.... u guys ROCK man!!! the invi(n)sible MIB..!! Prakash and Pradip really blew up the crowd... though this Teacher's Day was relatively the least-prepared one, i think it's greater than last years!!

MJ's really good too!! esp the sec 301 Sean... woo hoo.. anyways.. yesterday was the REAL MJ's birthday... he's 45 this year... wow... so old... i guess Paul has made an emergency trip all the way to US to celebrate Birthday with his STAR... hahaha... though the lower sec concert wasnt so responsive, but we still performed well... good go MJers!!!

Followed by the emergency setup and performance by Spunk... never really expected it only until the previous night... even though a bit under-standard.... but i guess we did quite well considering the lack of rehearsal and all that.... wanna say thanks to Mrs Martina Chan too... for letting us play at the last minute.... :) i guess Spunk website will have SOME update soon... YK's kinda busy now... for that matter.. e'one is busy now.. since exam's so near...

Anyways... lower sec concert ended, and the upper sec concert started almost immediately... one word for the video... 304 is SUPERB!! cant believe that they actually edited so well.... talking about Matrix effects huh... the other events are mainly the same... the 405 skit (gay freak) and MJ... and of course... followed by the Prefects band... woohoo... that Rocks too... Time of Your Life was good... and though a bit slow, Wonderful Tonite was not bad either.... and finally, the Teacher's Band... i like the way Prakash intro CF... hahah.. 'He's tall, dark, and a pain in the ***' WOW..... *-*

Slept through the aftnoon and the nite was fun too... barbecue at the hostel for farewell... cant believe i'll be leaving soon... still rber last year talking cock with Yuen Sean about leaving so soon... whoa... now's my turn to leave... got a teddy bear from one of my juniors... so cute... with some kinda fishy decoration... weird but cute... hahaha :)

so i guess yesterday was really fun for me... at least to relieve myself of some TREMENDOUS stress coming up in 2 weeks time... Good luck in ya exams!!!

Bio Prac
And so the Great day came and it ended.... one down, 41 more papers to go til the end of O levels... anyways... today's bio prac is kinda screw up... 'Measure the widest part of the leaves'... which one will u measure?? length or breadth?? HOW THE HECK ARE WE SUPPOSE TO GET THAT?! *&%^$£... the question is so AMBIGOUS... even Hokito got it wrong... Hokito got it WRONG!!! Bio's over man... haiz...

Enough of this prac... well.. stayed in the LT for around 3 hrs and we cant even watch a movie.... and Dawen they all were playing with Mr. Z in the small room behind the LT... guess it was kinda crazy.. everyone just wanted to release stress at that time... hahaha....

Went to a scholars meeting this aftnoon.. and on the way.. out of nowhere... the Tarzan of 404 actually launced an 'act-like-kien-ji' day... which is suppose to be a campaign to imitate THE kien ji... while sth happened later on...

Actually the scholar thing could have ended at around 2 o clock.... but because of our SUMPTOUS tea-break and a whole bunch of i-already-know-the-answer questions, we got back at around 5 o clock.... i cant believe that it was actually the scholars meeting... here's one scenario:

During the Q&A section of the whole talk, one China guy from Maristella High came up to the mike and asked
The guy : err... sir.. err... (in chinese accent) i err want to know err how do u calculate our L1R5 ah?
@_@' how lame can it get??!?! u mean u've been studying here for how many years (at least 2) and in the end not knowing the key idea to get into a JC?! i guess all of us was stunted... perhaps he meant other stuff... but it was really more like a laughing session for us....

I particularly like the Director saying sth... 'u all should really study instead of chasing after all these small little bonuses if u want to get into a good JC... even if u make it to the JC... do u want to be the last in the whole JC because u got in with some small bonus points?' .... -_- .... (silence for 10 secs)

And something really funny happen also... LTZ... aka the Tarzan in 404 actually went INTO the GIRLS toilet?! even though he denied it... but u can be quite sure what we assume... or rather what we 'want' to assume.. hahaha... on the way back... Tarzan had a memorial swing on the romantically charged vine (MRT) with Jane... ooohhh..... and of course... with the bunch of monkeys (us) jumping around....

So the official 'act-like-kien-ji' Day started off by Tarzan backfired against the great Tarzan himself and i guess sometimes... life is just not fun without some of these lame jokes.... hahahaha...

Whew!!
wow... it's been quite some time now since i blog last time.. haha... anyway.. tmr's Bio practical... i mean THE Bio practical prelims... tonight is mugging night i guess... dint blog for so long.. coz busy doing lotsa things... church services, Teacher's Days practices, and of course... mugging... my life now revolves around these few things only... cant imgaine when i'm taking A level... must be mad....

Anyways.. last year sth very interesting happened to the scholars here... when they got stressed up last year... guess what Ivan did... jump around and mumbling "bounce bounce bounce".... good way to release stress?? why dont u try it urself.... and in 2001, some of the senior scholars actually took off their shirts in the canteen while studying until 3 am and dance around on the tables... look what Singapore stress can do to u.... @_@....

Changed song for Teacher's day... for all those who are invloved... i'm really sorry... but i hope u all really understand.... so now we'r playing Wonderful Tonight... bit too slow?? mayb we'll incorporate something more up beat to it.... deciding tmr... wow... must really pray hard.... i mean like... the performance day is just 4 days away from now.... and we'r only deciding what song to play... cant even practice....

Basically spent the whole of last week staying guai guai in hostel and study... =) i guess this week wont make much difference except for some scholars meetings tmr and Teacher's Day.... cant believe that i only have 3 more official school days left before prelims... and for that matter... the whole 2 years of studying in SJI... time passed so fast... but right now... dun want it to past so fast.. coz... TMR's PRACTICALs.... !! arghh.... getting quite jumpy nowadays... mayb i'll try out the bouncing technique later...

It's now 3 more months b4 i'm going back to Kuching... YES!!! but b4 that... must go through this ordeal here... hmmph... ^-^ must study hard... thanks for all ya prayers... and hmm... for those who are taking major exams NOW and later in the year... SPMs, STPMs.... pray for all of u too!! Believe in Him always... Isaiah 41:10

Not What u Expected
indeed... yesterdae.... or rather this morning (around 1-2 am) just got some strange msg about Hotel California... i noe that there has been rumours about it being some satanic song or sth... and i dun belive it at first though... last nite YK came talking bout some weird stuff bout the song... about backmasking and all... so if u'r interested... just go to Hotel California and the whole msg of the song at this site to check it out.... sounds more like gibberish... but if u'r REALLY interested... go to this subliminal messaging...

After all the above, i still want to be skeptical about it... but it's really interesting about what we do everydae... without consciously knowing what we are doing to our mind. And i guess this is the scariest part of all... not knowing what we'r doing.... in our sub-conscious level. Perhaps we can say that since it doesnt affect me in what i do everyday... it doenst affect me at all.. do u really believe in that statement..?? How sure are u??

Yeah... i'm kinda freaked out when i heard the backmasking today... and i guess it was a mistake of not carefully choosing the right song... at least for me... i also noe that there are ppl quite happy of us getting in... but it's really uncomfortable for me to carry on, i should say... and yeah... perhaps what Ben had said is true... perhaps we should consult Friar Mike for all these...

Sorry for busrting the bubble of getting in for Teacher's Day... i had said earlier about the weird lyrics in the song (check previous entry) just den... i still dun quite believe that it's satanic... and yeah.. last nite i was really confused somehow.. where should i stand... as a Christian, as a student... as God's son... thanks to someone (u noe who u r) who helped me out on a phone call... thanks...

Let's switch the subject to something else... reading Michael Crichton's new book 'prey'... SUPERB is my comment... MC's a real cool writer... full of suspense and thrill... mayb i'll go and buy the book myself instead of borrowing from ming hui... nvm... wait til prelim's over... so... to all the MC's fans... this is the book to read....

O level results... out!!
But... i'm not taking any results back... hahaha... anyways... its really heartwarming to see that lotsa ppl got their expected results... :) and to those who didnt... dun give up... hey.. i got a B3 for Malay too....!! and we must get it over and done with... prelim's near... and O's just around the corner... so must keep up the hard work!!!

well, today was quite interesting... two old boys came back to give us a talk... wow... now i'm really confused about where to go... it really does sound like RJC is the correct choice or sth... but dunno... i think i like VJC... the seaside and all that... so calming... and... haha.. i dun have transport problem if i go der... &%*£$% nvm... study for prelims first... study first.. choose later. :P

didnt blog yesterdae.. too tired playing the Hotel California... but hey... it's worth it... the song's so nice... just the lyrics... seems kinda weird ah... nvm nvm... it's for teacher's day... for the teacher's to figure out wad it means.... :P

And... of course... AMT homeworks... me and YK was fumbling over a 1 mark quest for around half an hour.... PATHETIC FREAKS!!! oh well... Bernard Low said that Dunman High was the hardest paper we'll get.... whoa.... killer paper... adds all the more to the stress for prelims... haiii...

Yoz... kinda late now... but whew... today was English O level oral exam!!! whoa..... so relieved now to have it over with... we were joking bout Spenser's sweaty palm at the waiting area... :

Anywayz... to those who havent got their oral YET.... one word of warning... do not.. i repeat.. DO NOT let Gareth, or any of his coin game associates (Daren.. etc etc) to show u the coin game... jk... hahaha... spend some wits thinking bout the 'ingenious' coin game until my head bursts... hmph... tml i'll try to break the code again...

Other than the oral exam... today was quite uneventful... played basketball to release stress today... long time never play already... arghhhhhh.... cant stop thinking bout the stupid coin game.... wad's wrong with it...

Nvm... guess mayb i'll watch LXN with YK this thursday... seems like quite a nice show.. but dunno how it goes.... as they say.. looks are deceiving... Thursday is the opening day... hope that we can get a place...

Spent some nice time with my parents last night.. YK called me at around 11 pm.. asked me if i signed the yellow form to stay out... if not i may have to go back... ?! at 11 pm... anyways... called Aunty April and it turns out that she forgot to check with Uncle Paul where i was going last night... :) Though i slept till 11 yesterdae morning, today i'm still so tired.... *yawn*

Today was combine service of the church i'm going... met Ngee Zheng at the church and it was so super crowded tat i felt kinda dizzy when i got out... got free ice creams after that... :D anyways, one of my senior conducted a lesson on preparing for PSLE English oral after that... i helped out and it's like WOW.... listening to PSLE oral preparation for tomorrow's O's oral...

Hmm... today's choir at church was superb!! sang medleys of heavenly musics..... kinda brought back the time i was in Kuching when i joined the choir huh.... it must have changed a lot now... more ppl coming in... :) Glad to noe that too... :D nvm... it's just ANOTHER 4 more months... b4 i go bck... :)

And...yeah.. tomorrow's the OFFICIAL GCE English O level ORAL EXAM.. *-* (check imood for feelings)... hmm... last oral i'm gonna have for this year... pray that it turns out good...

Tomorrow's also the official day for new prefects to do duty... Juniors coming up to do duty now... Keep it up Eric!! Dismas!! my feelings reminds me of Yuen Sean last year... (NJ) haha... time passed so fast... well... at the moment.. i just hope that it'll pass slower... coz tomorrow's Oral.... o_0

Yawn... woke up at around 11 today... yeah Singapore national day... guess there will b lotsa ppl at the Kallang stadium now, watching NDP.... hmm... guess i can only watch it through the TV though... all the ppl and crowds... must be really something down der at the stadium... :)

So... today i was practically no where except the hostel... and uh... YEAH!!! SPUNK'S WEBISTE IS ON!!!!! Last nite some of us was doing it until the wee hours in the morning.... at least our hardwork was worth it. Other than the Spunky excitement.. i guess today was quite boring... Guess all the sec 4s are steaming up the engines.... just realised that i have some social studies homework just now... whoa... have to finish the SBQ in half an hour... talking about social studies.... missed the SS talk that day from some professor.... hmm... and i cant believe i spent the whole time that afternoon in the great, must-attend, super important Malay class..... @_@ wow... i think half of my mind was in lala-land in the Malay class... how sad...

Later i'll b going to my parent's place.... hmm.. at least better off to some place rather than this 'prison'... (it became one since the legendary Stalin arrived)... just hope that i wont be sent to concentration camp for staying out with my parents... haha... jk.. so... to all the Singaporeans reading this.... wish u all a Happy National Day...

Another long day passed. Today is the Annual Parade actual. Soooooooo glad that it's finally over. For the first time in dunno how many months... i can wake up late... guiltlessly... haha.. lol... a bit nostalgic too... time passed so fast.. still recalled the day when we took over at the 150th AP. :I

However, 'O's coming up soon... prelims first... kinda nervous.. but i told God that i'll go wherever He wants me to go.. :) must hit the bks more often now... since no more cca activities.

Yeah.. tomorrow's Singapore's national day. Today's celebration was kinda fun.. esp the Kopi Susu singing the acapella jungle song... hahaha... reminds me of the great Tarzan (u noe who) swinging in the jungle to his Jane (u noe who again)... just a joke to make fun of them... hahaha... :P

Anywayz, was quite tiring after i came bck from sch... got annual parade rehearsal... have to stand in the field for around 14 minutes of silence.... and uh.. thank God that the weather was quite merciful... or else half the contingent would be gone b4 we do the march past... so pathetic...
