After 2 of the movies came out, i finally decided to watch the third. Watched it with a lot of bourne fans so they were all singing praises when we came out. Well, i think it's a notch higher than die hard 4.0, because it is MORE realistic. And it's simply thrilling, the way that the story unfolds. So i'd say this is one of the better films i've seen, and i shall give it a 8.5/10
This time it's to someone who's going overseas to UK to study acoustics. Actually i dont think he'd read this blog but oh well, went down to old brown shoes yesterday to support his last gig around town. Ironically, it's also the first time i've seen him play live.

When i stepped into the Rockers room 1 year ago, i didnt know it would be the most nerve wrecking experience i'd ever had. there were about 15 plus ppl inside the little room, and you're suppose to sit on this very old high chair with a mic in front of you.
'what song are you going to play today?' and you're off to show some skills. Some of them were reading magazines when u play and some of them sniggers. HA HA. you'd actually felt kinda awkward and like damn lousy coz you're exposed by yourself to play something which might not impress people.
Just came back from jazz band auditions just now. Well, it was a lot better than the Rockers one but it's hard to say from their expressions whether you'd get in or not. Arent all auditions like that. It's gonna be my turn to read magazines and sniggers next week. be warned. HAHA.
was over just now. We had to mix some poisonous powder to a homogenous mixture under some hood, before pressing them into pellets and putting them into a furnace. That's all.
and it took 3 hours to do that. I thought it would just be a 1 hour thing and it would be done. Bloody 3 hours and wasted my zz-ing time. Most of the time was spent grinding those powders into the homogenous mixture.
but oh well, it was quite fun. Feels like i'm back to primary school playing with powders and pressing them into pellets. Well other than the fact that the powder is poisonous. HA HA.
It's only 2 weeks and i'm whining. Oh no. Tutorials havent even sink in yet. Saturday there's jazz band auditions. Then there's Rockers auditions and TGIO will follow aft that for me and yk aka mr 'eh hello hello...' to squeeze our brains out to fit people into diff bands.

Just came back from a farewell party for a church fren. She'll be going overseas to study in the US and thus, the farewell party.
Wahhhh.. come to think of it i'd be gone next year too for a year in some foreign place. Guess i'll miss out quite some fun too. But oh well, life's like that and here's a sincere blessing for her to study hard in the US and God Bless!!

There's only one movie that dares to be ugly now that computer animation has taken over the entire cartoon industries. Oh, did i mention that Japanese still draws anime? Chio-ly? But anyways, Simpsons has always been ugly and i never really liked them. Maybe coz i didnt understand the implications behind and coz they dont have robots transforming from robots into cars and then into robots again. Despite receiving some good comments, i still have friends dozing off, not just one, but a few of them in the cinema when they watched this film. Maybe they were just tired. 6/10

I'm also not a Potter fan but i guess when this kinda show comes out it's more like i have to watch it so i watched it. I missed pirates anyway. How sad. Anyway, this one's kinda darkish. i never read the book and stuff, so i dont know what will happen and i guess this only makes the movie more exciting. Everytime i read the book and watch some movies it just disappoints. So i shall give this one a fair score. 7/10

i was fumbling through all the CDs my parents kept in the small little closet below the TV. Then i came across a CD with the label 英文歌 so i decided to give it a go. HAHA. it was a bunch of oldies and to my surprise i really enjoyed them. To the core. i never used to like them coz i think they are just a bit too boring but now things seem to change. maybe i'm just growing old.

Went to the beach today. AGAIN. yes i think that's about the nicest part of scenery that i can get here. Though the beach is well, kinda.. muddy and all but it's still a beach and being a beach bum, i will of course do my favourite thing at the beach. Emo.
Then i went out to take a stroll outside in the garden after dinner. Looked up into the sky and WALA. i saw streaks of cloud created by traversing airplanes. it only reminded me of one thing: Deutschland. more emo.
well, i'm enjoying the relak jack lifestyle here actually. even though it's really boring sometimes and i think that if i spend a month here i'd go insane. But come to think of it, working aint that interesting either. HAA HAA. DATA ENTRY my gawd.

OH KAY. there's a lot of things to be said about this one. i'm a fan of action. Of course. Jackie Chan was my favourite actor when i was young. Die Hard has been out for quite some time now since Die Hard 1.0 Dint really watch all those but ehh.. this one's really a bit... Well... Over the moon. Fair enough, action movies are ridiculous but... i didnt think that it will be this ridiculous. I thought i was watching X men coz they just dont die. i suppose that's why it's called Die Hard.死不了wor. And btw, can someone tell the director that an F-35 doesnt miss its target. Once is still alrite but thrice?? 5/10

There's a lot of reason you hear that sigh. For one, the weather is just too damn frigging @!%@!#$%@#$ HUMID and HOT. AND!! i'm NOT GOING TO CUT MY HAIR. which leaves me in a kinda sweaty situation almost everyday. Without my trusted companion (my cap), i nearly died 2 days ago. i just cant imagine how girls can do sports under this type of weather in their long locks. There must be some secret to it.
And for two, i'm going home. Not that i dont like to go home. i miss my family. i miss the good food. i miss the air con room. BUT sad to say, i dont miss Malaysia. Or rather KL. Too big a place, too little frens and too BORING. And of course, i dont really miss the dial ups. it just gets on your nerves you feel like ripping the computer apart when it tries (and fails) to load something like my mailbox.
AND of course. i dont exactly fancy the fact that i have to take a bus home from sin city. Best is i dont have to go there but there's no choice. FYI, JB = sin city, and the R&R which used to stand for rest & recreation has become well, robbery & rape. Serious. Cant imagine what the heck the police are doing in JB.
i just missed how Malaysia used to be in my mind, or rather how Kuching is: peaceful, fun, lotsa frens and DAMN GOOD FOOD. But i dont foresee myself going there anytime soon in the near future. How sad.

Just had some inspiration to put a hawker center picture here. Much is to be learned from queuing up and da bao-ing ur food. Sometimes if u are impatient, or the aunty is tricky, u might get teh peng for the kopi o that you ordered. So the Moral Of The Story is: check your food before you da bao. But sometimes, or most of the time, it is easier said then done.
BET some of you are scratching your head rite now. but oh well, life's a mystery. So is the hawker center :) one day if u're lucky, or unlucky, u'll understand what i mean.

For some reason, the word 'emo', pronounced iimo, was the favorite word during the trip. It means emotional, or filled with a certain type of inexplicable sorrow which is shared with like-minded people. It can be coined with other words to form phrases for eg 'emo-siao', 'emo-songs', 'emo-ing' and so on. But of course, Tioman is a nice place, not just for emo-ing. I like the golden phrase of the trip: Laugh with your frens when they are laughing, mourn with your frens when they are mourning and of course, emo with your frens when they are emo-ing. GOLD. if there's someone i love the most. It's her. We used to quarrel a lot. She used to get angry with me over small little things like lending me the paper to trace out some alphabets. We used to fight over even a bag. We used to tease each other about our potential gf/bf. Actually more like i getting teased most of the time. Those good ol' days.
We left each other when i was only like 15? I cried that day... and i cried some more when she left to aussie. Since then we didnt really spend long time together... at most 1 month? So here is a post dedicated to her and i think she influenced my life A LOT. And i love her :)

Sometimes when things are tough, there really isnt any other way to settle it. Guitar, music, friends, busyness, stone, road trips, beers, wine... It's just Him and that's it. He promised us to be there for us every single day and sometimes we just choose to ignore him and find our own solutions.
When we were young and well, notorious maybe, fairy tales come true in our hearts. Perhaps i've grown up now and when you are left alone sometimes, the eyes that are washed by tears see clearer. Things are not like fairy tales, and i suppose it's part of growing up: to realise that, and to go through that.
Some people just need a tight slap across the face before they learn that something is wrong. I have to learn it after getting one hard punch. Good thing is, it's not fatal. Bad thing is, it hurts. And i want more than anything to get it over and done with.

When u have nothing better to do on a 6 hour + another 8 hour long plane ride, u watch funny movies which u dont usually watch in the theatres because they aint worth ur money. so i watched this comedy. Actually i wanted to watch it in the cinema but didnt have the chance so this was a great chance as they showed it on emirates. Anw, the show's about mid life crisis and how these 4 people went on a biking trip to discover themselves. not too bad.. not too good either... 6/10
Last day in my host bro's room.. sigh.. time really flies. didnt have the chance to send michelle and co. off at the hauptbahnhof yesterday but heard that she cried until swee foo had to dry his shoulders. well. Sent Charmaine off today and she looked kinda sad too.. guess it's just the great time that we had here, and the great fun that we had. The music, the beer, the schnapps, the beer garden, the schlossplatz, the titisee, the bodensee, the freiburg, the jia jie's house, the joyce's house... too many things with too little space.
i miss the weather. i miss the castles. i miss the food. and above all, i miss the people and the companionship. think that i really never wasted any time here doing nothing. It's such a great experience and i totally love it. Ein bisschen traurig.
perhaps Germany was a point of realisation as well, and i think that a lot of time in my quiet little room, things seems to be clearer. the heat has be blamed in singapore.. WAHAHAHA.. and i've already decided where to go when i come next year - Karlsruhe.

Life is short. My grandma was diagnosed for cancer a few weeks ago. Went for an operation and now she just made it through. Thank God.
Heard from my dad that she already accepted Christ in her heart and she wasnt hesitant when asked to go for operation. Thanks for all those who've been praying.

Ok due to some cock ups i havent been able to watch pirates.. and now it's really been kinda late and i dont know whether they will be showing it in sing when i go back : ( BUT. i get to watch this show. Not bad a show but i've never been an ocean's wadeva fan. Didnt watch ocean's 11 even though they said it was quite good. Watched ocean's 12 on a plane: and u noe they say that you only watch the shows you dont wanna watch on the plane. But now i'm watching ocean's 13. Not bad, and i quite like it. Funny and interesting. 7.5/10
